Carl's Boat

We have been having trouble getting you out of bed every morning but not today! All I did was walk past the bed and say "Time to get up, Aiden, so we can go on Carl's boat." and you were up in a flash, dressed, and ready to go! We drove while you waited very patiently in the back seat. You didn't make a peep until we got to Hartwell and you saw a billboard that had a boat on it. "Carl's boat!?" "Not yet, almost there." We arrived and you were flipping out to ride the 'tractor' aka golf cart down to the lake. You were so excited to get to play in the water this time at what became known as "Pirate Island". You had a blast skipping rocks with Daddy, Mike, and Carl. And then on the way home, Carl actually let you drive! You were ecstatic! And what full day is not complete with icecream?

Thursday Morning... Why Not?

All Mommy wants to do today is play with her family. Mission Accomplished!

How cute are you right here? You refused to take off that hat the better part of this morning. I guess this is the beginning of your independent stage (that actually started sometime last year).

You are so funny, you start off this video saying "Cheese" and then near the end stop (and wait for me to follow) so that you 'count off' the beat as you like to do, like Carl taught you to do.

You have a friend. Drevyn Johnson and you get along just fine! You are awfully cute with your persitant tempers and combined, I think it is all Lori and I can do to keep you from terrorizing everything around yourselves!

Today we were able to go out on the boat for the first time! Aiden absolutely loved it. I kept thinking of how happy my Dad would have been to have seen his grandson loving the water as much as he did. Maybe that is why the sunset was so beautiful.
