Carl's Boat
We have been having trouble getting you out of bed every morning but not today! All I did was walk past the bed and say "Time to get up, Aiden, so we can go on Carl's boat." and you were up in a flash, dressed, and ready to go! We drove while you waited very patiently in the back seat. You didn't make a peep until we got to Hartwell and you saw a billboard that had a boat on it. "Carl's boat!?" "Not yet, almost there." We arrived and you were flipping out to ride the 'tractor' aka golf cart down to the lake. You were so excited to get to play in the water this time at what became known as "Pirate Island". You had a blast skipping rocks with Daddy, Mike, and Carl. And then on the way home, Carl actually let you drive! You were ecstatic! And what full day is not complete with icecream?

Spring Festival 2009

I'm so glad that Daddy decided to bring to the Festival today so that I could spend some time with you during my busy day! The best part was not the barbque that you are enjoying, but the moment in time that fell into place so perfectly. I was walking away and you decided to follow me blindly. You were looking at the ground and I noticed that you were pretty much just following my shadow. I started making circles around people and weaving in and out of the booth. You started laughing and I said, "Just like a duck! You're my little baby duck!" And then I put my hands under my arms and started flapping and quacking and so did you! It was adorable. I would give so much to be able to have that moment recording so that I could watch it again and again. Priceless moments!

Today we planted our first plants. I mean literallly, my first time planting anything on my own was shared with you. What a fond memory! I hope that we can do this every spring. I am determined to teach you things that I never learned growing up and that I feel are imperative for you to know.
You had fun tonight! We played in the dirt, smelled the flowers, and at this particular moment shared a 'Say Cheese' for you father. Thank you so much for nights like tonight. Even when I am super busy and have so many tasks to handle, you help me and turn a task into fun. I love you for that.
